It is the endless debate. Is it a fruit or a vegetable? I have decided that sweet things are fruits and vegetables are usually green. That is the basic premise that I have for fruits and vegetables. But then there are all of those other random things like squash, eggplants, pumpkins (is that redundant when I already mentioned squash) and don't even let me get started on the tomatoes. You have had this conversation, right? I am not the only one that is constantly having the debate over the fruits vs. the veggie qualities of a certain food. Okay, I was just making sure. So the other day I had this conversation with Brittni on messenger and she sent me this link. Read it, it explains things.

My world has been rocked. Squash is a fruit and a vegetable? Weird. Seeds. That is the answer. If it has seeds it is a fruit. Mind blown! And all of this time I have been having the above ground vs. below ground or from a tree debate and all the time the answer was in the seeds. I feel as if my whole life has been a giant lie. Squash is fruit. Oh, but aren't you glad that the United States Supreme Court didn't have anything else to do but decide that a tomato was a vegetable?
