One More Week--Summer Here I Come!

I only have one more week, one more class, one more paper, and 2 more tests and I will be done!!!!HAPPY! Summer here I come! I have missed you so much. We will need to become reacquainted in the form of many bike rides and trips to the lake. These activities combined with reading whatever book I want and seeing the sun on a regular basis should very easily reaffirm my deep and abiding affection for this wonderful season.

After next Wednesday I never have to go to school ever again. You have no idea how happy this makes me.

No More Pencils, No More Books, No More Teacher's Dirty Looks!

Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Cooties...

You have selected cooties.
Cooties come in 2 strains, girl cooties and boy cooties. To prevent contracting cooties, avoid the opposite sex. If you have been in contact with the opposite sex, get treatment immediately. Girls can spin in a circle and scream "No Cooties, no cooties" until the cooties fly off. For boys, a cootie shot is usually necessary in the form of a punch in the shoulder from a trusted friend. If however you contracted full-blown cooties, the only way to get rid of them is by staging a battle between your action toys and the action toys or dolls of the person who gave the cooties to you. Or by carrying 3 lizard tails and a baseball card in your backpack for 4 days.
Be warned, cootie catchers are not fool-proof and have not been shown to be effective.
Suffice it to say, I had a little bit too much fun calling The Nestle Crunch Hotline tonight.  To enjoy the full menu call 1-800-295-0051...I think that is the number, press 1 and then 4. It was super funny. However, it said that it won't be available after April 21, but try anyways.

Let's Go Fly A Kite

I have awesome friends! I was able to fly a kite on Saturday and on Sunday. I know, you're jealous. On Saturday I went to Park Discovery with Nicole, Lynsie, and Mindy. It was a lot of fun. The wind was finally the right speed to fly a kite and not shred it to bits. I know this because Lynsie has become an avid wind watcher while waiting for the opportunity to fly a kite.
On Sunday afternoon a bunch of us went to the park/high school by our house. Fun times! I am glad that I have enough influence to make this many people go fly kites. Thanks Mindy, Nicole, Matt, Brittni, Kristen, Jacob, Charlie, and Jo for flying kites with me and listening to me quote Toy Story. Sorry I didn't get pictures of everyone.

Sleep

Sleeping makes me very happy. If you know me at all, you know of my deep and abiding affection for this particular activity. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the voting-thing for our grade in the yearbook in high school and I was voted as Sleepy. I love sleep, without it I become loopy and silly or after a certain point I just get cranky.
You might be asking yourself after glancing at the time stamp at the bottom of the post, if she likes it so much why is she blogging about this particular subject at this early hour? I have no idea. It just seemed like the thing to do. I decided to change things up from asking you to donate money for cancer and to sign up for exercise.
I have not been to bed very early at all this week. If I stop typing now and go to bed, it will be the earliest I have fallen asleep all week.
Good Night and Sweet Dreams!
(I think this was the loopy me that I was talking about)

I'm not asleep... but that doesn't mean I'm awake.  ~Author Unknown

Greenwood Triathlon

You should do it! It is fun! You can come swim, bike, and run all over with me and my family. I have done it the last 3 years, and you have seen the shape that I am in, so there are no excuses on that count. To register all you have to do is leave a comment on the greenwoodtriathlon.blogspot.com blog or e-mail coatsfamilyadventures@gmail.com or e-mail or talk to me. Easy!

Relay for Life

2 pans of peanut butter bars, 5 pans of rice crispies, and 112 banana cupcakes were baked in our house tonight. On a regular day this would mean that somebody had a bad day...but today we are baking for a cause. Tomorrow is Relay for Life in Cedar City and Brittni is helping with a bake sale and walking the SUU track tomorrow night to help combat cancer. It is a great cause and if you want to donate here is the information stolen from Brittni's Facebook message.

Hi Everyone,

This year our office is participating in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The Relay is a global event. Each team takes turns walking or running around the track, a member of the team must be represented on the track at all times for 24 hours.

In addition, we are each asked to gather donations for the society, my personal goal is $100, but I hope to be able to get more donations. With the donations we earn, the American Cancer Society will be able to help people stay well, help those who are
currently fighting, find cures, and fight back.

I am really excited about being able to participate in this event. We can dedicate our own individual walks to someone we know who has battled with cancer, I am dedicating mine to my Grandpa Traynor.

Please donate to this cause.

You can do so by following the steps below:

1. http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=pfind&fr_id=21756\nshar
ed
2. Click the Relay for Life box at the bottom of the Web page
3. Type, 84720 in the Zip code field
4. Click Relay for Life Cedar City
5. Click the Donate button
6. If my name is not already in the fields: Type my name, Brittni Traynor, into the
designated fields
7. Click my name, Traynor, Brittni Team The Big LK
8. Click the Donate button

This is such a great cause. Cancer is unfortunately becoming something that is creeping into all of our lives, one way or another, whether it be ourselves, family, loved ones, or friends, we will all be affected.

Every penny helps, so if it is even only a penny, please donate it!

I Want to Ride My Bike

I have the best of intentions. I sign up for these really long bike rides with the full intention that I will immediately start training and that I will be in great shape long before the event. Then life happens. Where did the last month go? I have to ride my bike 60 miles in a month. Yep. SIXTY. Have I ridden my bike more than 10 miles in the past month? Nope. Am I going to die on May 8th during the Goldilocks bike ride? YES. You are all invited to my funeral. It will probably be a small service at the Holden ward building. My family will give you the rest of the details.

Seriously, I need to exercise. Because even if I don't die doing Goldilocks, I am signed up for Little-Red and the Greenwood Triathlon. Can I blame part of this situation on the wind? I know that Chicago has the nick-name but I think they should really give the title of "Windy City" to Cedar City. Just sayin'...

Anyone want to go on a bike ride with me?

Cotton Candy

Inflation has occurred at the Quality Easter event. Cotton Candy used to be 10 cents and has gone up to a quarter. Outrageous! Oh well, we all still seemed to get pretty sticky. It isn't Easter without cotton candy and hotdogs. All of these people are pretty amazing. Love you all!

Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very bad day

I lied. I am still having a bad day and just wanted you to know that. Maybe when I wake up in 5 hours it will be better.

It was a Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very bad day. There were lima beans for dinner, and I HATE limas. There was kissing on TV, and I HATE kissing. My bath was too hot, I got soap in my eyes, my marble went down the drain, and I had to wear my railroad-train pajamas. I hate my railroad-train pajamas.

I HATE Today!

I know, I know. This blog is supposed to be about the good things in life and seeing beyond the imperfections...yada yada yada. Today has been a no good very bad day! Everything that could go wrong did! I just needed to tell someone out there that and get it out of my system. Sorry for the venting. Back to the regularly scheduled happiness next time I post.

I could tell it was going to be a Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very bad day. At school Mrs. Dickens liked Paul’s picture of the sailboat better than my picture of the invisible castle. At singing time she said I sang too loud. At counting time she said I left out 16. Who needs 16?

Definition of Cute

Isn't she just so cute? She turned 2 yesterday, and is just adorable. She has everyone wrapped around her little fingers. These pictures are from Easter Weekend, I will post more later.
It is also Jim's birthday today. Happy Birthday Jim! I hope that you had a great day.
Apparently more pictures need to be taken of Jim...or I need to get the pictures of him from somebody. But I like the picture where he, after 6 years and 3 kids, officially became part of the family by skiing at the res. He is also a really great dad. Happy Birthday Jim and Emily.Sorry it is a little late.

My Addiction

Hello, I am Chelsey Coats and I have an addiction. I have been clean for 7 days, 11 hours,  and 36 minutes. This is not the result of my amazing will power. No. This withdrawal I have suffered is dreadfully involuntary. Do you want to know the worst part? Some editorial cartoonist at the SUU Journal published my pathetic state for everyone to see. This post is me acknowledging that it was me. I confess. I refuse to feel bad about my actions.

Happy Birthday Carla!!

On this date 28 years ago, Carla Coats Weaver, made her debut into the world. She was a super cute baby. (I've seen pictures, I was not around yet to see for myself) Here are some of the pictures that I found...

...Ain't she just the cutest person you ever did see?  Thanks for being a great sister Carla. I hope that you have a wonderful birthday.
